The story so far

Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are two small-time criminals who know the odds are against them. When a simple score goes wrong, they end up tangled in a conspiracy that reaches across the whole state of Leonida, and they can only get out by trusting each other.

Lucia starts the game behind bars in Leonida Penitentiary, and her ankle monitor is central to how the partnership begins. Jason lives rent-free in the Keys in exchange for doing jobs for a local drug runner. From there the story moves through Vice City's clubs, recording studios and bank vaults.

When does GTA 6 come out?

Grand Theft Auto VI launches on Thursday, November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Digital pre-loading and physical retail copies (which contain a download code, not a disc) arrive on November 12, 2026.

Where is GTA 6 set?

GTA 6 is set in the fictional state of Leonida, Rockstar's take on Florida. Its main city is a modern-day Vice City, based on Miami, and the state also includes the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park.

Who are the main characters in GTA 6?

The two playable leads are Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a criminal couple pulled into a conspiracy across Leonida after an easy job goes wrong. You can switch between them during free roam.

How much does GTA 6 cost?

The Standard Edition is $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition is $99.99 in the US (UK: £69.99 and £89.99). Standard owners can upgrade to Ultimate later for the $20 difference.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?

No PC version has been announced. GTA 6 launches only on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two's CEO has hinted at future platforms but has not confirmed a PC release.
